Congratulations to everyone that submitted to our Spring Reading Period! Thanks to you we received 185 pieces. At this point in the semester, Amaranth staff members have finished looking through pieces from the Fall reading period. We will be done reviewing Spring submissions later this month. Then, we will make final decisions on pieces from both Fall and Spring in April. Regardless of which reading period you submitted to, you will hear back from Amaranth around late April so keep an eye on your email. Our release party for Vol. 50 will be on May 6 in HUM 112.

Even if you didn’t submit, there are still ways you can engage with Amaranth. Join us at our next coffeehouse on April 17 to perform and share your work. Our last coffeehouse was filled with music, poetry, short stories, and comedy with over 40 attendees. We look forward to seeing you whether it’s your first or fifth coffeehouse.

If you are interested in joining the Amaranth staff in selecting pieces for the journal, please stop by HUM 118 on Tuesdays at 3:30 or attend virtually. We are also looking for graphic designers who want to help put the journal together. No experience is required, we will teach you everything you need to know!
